FATHERS’ DAY: Next weekend a father of the parish will speak of his experience of fatherhood at each of the Masses. At the end of Mass a special blessing will be given to all the fathers present.
PRIESTS’ RETIREMENT FOUNDATION: Next weekend is also the annual appeal for the support of the increasing number of retired priests. Please collect an envelope from rear of church this weekend & return it to 2nd collection next week. For every dollar donated the diocese contributes two dollars.
CHARITABLE WORKS FUND: Our quota is still $11,000 each appeal (I made a mistake last week re quota as we were in credit). So far we have received $5,615 (including our credit balance). Many thanks for your contributions. Donations always welcome to come closer to our quota. Envelopes near door as well as brochures re works supported by CWF.
WYD MADRID 2011 - Fathers Day Raffle. Unique hand painted wine glasses & carrier kindly painted & donated by a parishioner. Tickets $1 each or 3 for $2. Drawn by Fr Bob after 10am Mass, Sun 5 Sep. Many thanks for your support, John Riley & Tom Dawes.

PIETY STALL: Devotional items are always available from the Piety Stall on the 2nd & 4th Sunday mornings from 9.30 - 11.15am. This ministry is a voluntary non-profit activity for the benefit of people attending Mass and/or other Sacraments.

Compeer
a Special Work of the St Vincent de Paul Society
Compeer is dedicated to providing trained volunteers to help people with mental illness to enjoy the simple pleasures of companionship and social interaction that most of us take for granted. Our aim is to provide a truely satisfying experience for both volunteers and their Compeer friends. Female volunteers 55 and over and male volunteers 25-35 are required for the Sutherland Shire.
